The Fate of Tiffany & Co. Stained Glass Window

In a photo taken on Dec. 3, 2009, the Tiffany & Co. stained glass window at the First Baptist Church was seen in Brattleboro, Vt. Pressed for cash. It has been proved that the First Baptist Church had reluctantly decided to seek bids on a Tiffany & Co. stained glass window that's been part of the building since 1910.
Depicting St. John the Divine, The 9-foot tall window would be removed and sold if a successful bidder comes forward, although pastor Rev. Suzanne Andrews said she's hoping a miracle would make that unnecessary.
The congregation was willing to sacrifice the cherished Tiffany & Co. stained glass window to raise $75,000, so that they could feed and shelter the homeless. Through this creative approach of fundraising to church¡¯s historic glass window the church received generous donations from all over the country and match giving by one of its viewers from the news.
They were able to raise the money they needed to keep its doors opens for the public and shelter the homeless. Miracles did happen during the Christmas time of 2009. This news story was a living testimony. And in this story, Tiffany & Co had been playing one of the sparkling roles.
