The store, located in a landmark building at No. 10, Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset, the city¡¯s premier location, referred to as ¡°the golden mile,¡± for luxury shopping is the renowned Tiffany store.
On October 28, 2008, Tiffany & Co., the diamond authority, declared the opening of its first store in Spain, with a reception held in the new 6,000-square-foot, two-level Madrid store. Cocktails and buffet at the city¡¯s famous Palacio del Marqu¨¦s de Salamanca were held thereafter.
Including dignitaries and socialites, there were around 300 guests attending the opening, which featured a spectacular collection of the jeweler¡¯s celebrated diamonds. On the opening, James E. Quinn, president of Tiffany & Co remarked, ¡°In planning our opening night festivities, it was our intention to highlight our history and the legendary style of our jewels.¡±

128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond was set in Jean Schlumberger¡¯s Bird on A Rock setting as the highlight of this magnificent collection. The whole exhibition displays the reputation of Tiffany & Co for jewels of ultimate glamour and superb quality.
