With his remarks, Tiffany & Co. declared the reopening of its Tokyo flagship store, the largest Tiffany store in Japan. Reflecting Tiffany¡¯s reputation as a world-premier jeweler, the newly designed store is the vision of noted Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and his design firm, Kengo Kuma Associates.
Located at 2-7-17 Ginza, this Tiffany building completely combines classic tiffany style with the architecture pattern of Ginza. The façade is designed to reflect the dynamic Ginza streetscape by day and give a brilliant lightshow at night.
Celebrities including Misaki Ito, Meisa Kuroki, Ikki Sawamura participated in this ceremony and visit the Kuma-designed store exterior, which features 292 double-pane glass panels canted like facets on a diamond, with an aluminum honeycomb secured between the panes.
