As the largest Tiffany store in Japan, the Tiffany Flagship Store was located at 2-7-17 Ginza, which reflects Tiffany¡¯s reputation as a world-premier jeweler and is the vision of noted Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and his design firm, Kengo Kuma Associates.
And the reopening was celebrated on October 30, 2008, in New York. As the opening remarks, Tiffany President James E. Quinn, said, ¡°Tonight we celebrate our outstanding new home in Ginza, a world-famous center of style and sophistication, where we have enjoyed 12 highly successful years. We look forward to many more years of success in a store inspired by our legendary diamonds that are such an important part of Tiffany¡¯s heritage.¡±
Tiffany created the limited edition "Ginza Heart Pendant" with diamonds in 18K white gold, and the Paloma Picasso Crown of Hearts timepiece in stainless steel with white satin strap to honor this ceremony. And a spectacular jewel worthy of this historic occasion was created by the designer: an 11-carat, heart-shaped diamond ring named ¡°Heart of New York¡±. It symbolizes Tiffany¡¯s legacy as the world¡¯s diamond authority and its honored place in the history of craftsmanship and design.
